Women's Business Council: Evolution of Success, a Generational Conversation

Event is open to Chamber members and nonmembers.

A dynamic armchair conversation between two professional women from different generations, this session explores how definitions of success, loyalty, ambition, and balance have evolved and what that evolution means for today’s workforce. Through candid storytelling and honest reflection, we’ll unpack the unspoken rules once navigated, the biases they confronted, and the boundaries they were (or weren’t) allowed to set.

By attending, participants will leave with:

  • Awareness, clearer understanding of the generational dynamics shaping today’s workplace.

  • Empathy, stronger mutual respect across age groups, through shared stories and lived experiences.

  • Inspiration, redefine success collectively, and leverage the strengths of every generation to build a more supportive, resilient workplace

Together, we’ll build a sharper awareness of generational challenges, deepen empathy across age groups, and uncover how shared wisdom can strengthen the future of the workplace dynamic.

Speakers: Jordan Dunn, Marketing & Business Development Manager, Pride Commercial Appliance Service and Mary Malone McCarthy, Founder & CEO, M3 Placement and Partnership

Jordan Dunn is the Marketing & Development Manager at Pride Commercial Appliance Service and serves as Chair of the Capital Region Chamber’s Young Professionals Network Mentorship Program. She also volunteers with To Life!, a nonprofit that provides education and support to breast cancer patients throughout the Capital Region.





Mary Malone McCarthy is the Founder and CEO of M3 Placement & Partnership, a certified woman-owned talent advisory firm specializing in executive search, strategic HR, and recruitment. A former senior executive at Northland Communications, she is an award-winning business leader recognized for helping organizations leverage talent as a competitive advantage.

Her leadership has been recognized with the U.S. Small Business Administration's 2023 Women in Business Champion Award (Upstate New York District) and the Capital Region Chamber of Commerce's 2024 Women of Excellence Award, alongside earlier honors from the Women's Business Council and the YWCA.
