Celebrate growth and creativity at our PechaKucha Night Volume 39: Bloom in the Capital. Inspired by Albany’s iconic Tulip Festival, this event showcases stories of personal and professional flourishing moments when individuals and communities blossomed. Join us for an evening of ideas, inspiration, and connection in full bloom.
Join us on Thursday, April 9, 2026, for fast‑paced 20×20 presentations showcasing career pivots, community projects, creative breakthroughs, and the moments of growth that have shaped our region. This spring edition features local stories in full bloom—seven speakers, twenty slides, twenty seconds each. Quick, inspiring, local stories- lasting blossoms.
Each speaker has 400 seconds to share their story using 20 automatically advancing images. This signature format, known as PK 20×20, keeps the energy high and the storytelling fast, fun, and memorable.
Originally created in Tokyo in 2003 as a dynamic way to exchange ideas, PechaKucha has since expanded to more than 1,200 cities worldwide—including Albany. YPN proudly partners with Opalka Gallery and Russell Sage College to bring this innovative format to our region, with a focus on mentorship, creativity, and meaningful connection.
Your hosts for the evening are YPN Executive Mentorship Co‑Chairs Jordan Dunn (Pride Commercial Appliance Service) and Jen DeGroff (TrueIcon), joined by emcee Amari Duncan (Girls Inc.), who will introduce an outstanding lineup of local leaders, entrepreneurs, and rising professionals!
