Assembler

Applied Robotics has an immediate need for an Assembler. This person will have the primary responsibility for assembling parts of various materials such as plastic, metal, and rubber, to produce small products such as accessories for industrial robots as well as other automation machinery.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or
  • One to three months of related experience and/or training or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Company’s Vision, Values, and Mission.
  • Collaborates with Management to develop motivation strategies to achieve work goals.
  • Positions parts in specified relationship to each other.
  • Bolt, screw, clip, cement, press, or otherwise fasten parts together
  • Work collaboratively as a member of the assembly group at a bench, working on one or more specific parts.
  • Load and unload machines such as arbor presses, drill presses, taps, and wire strippers, for fastening, force fitting, or wire electrical wire preparation.
  • Flexibility to work at different workstations as production needs require.
  • Cut, strip, crimp, and solder electrical wires to produce various small electrical assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Interpret drawings and schematics for assigned work orders and follow assembly procedures.
  • Assist in the training and development of co-workers
  • Recommends modifications to working conditions and use of equipment in order to increase the efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
  • Assist workers in solving work problems.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. As well as write routine reports in detail.
  • Familiar with Computer Programs such as Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Lotus “Notes” and Made2Manage.
  • Mathematical skills; ability to add and subtract two digits numbers and divide by 10’s and 100’s, must be able to perform these operations using units of American money, weight, volume, and distance.
  • Superior attention to detail and good hand/eye coordination.
  • Employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 25lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
