College Admissions Coach

The College Advisor of New York, Inc. an established, 18-year old college counseling firm specializing in admissions and financial aid counseling, seeks a part-time, energetic individual to assist college bound students in the college selection and application process. Ability to inspire and guide high school students and parents through a decision making process is necessary. We work with students across all levels of college selectivity and aim to help students find colleges that are a great fit for them. 

Minimum of 2 years experience in college admissions/high school counseling preferred. Responsibilities include guiding students in the exploration of college majors, interpreting interest and skill assessments, facilitating communication between families and our office, helping students understand appropriate college matches, assisting students in the application and essay process, and helping to coordinate admission activities with parents and students.

Hours are very flexible and in most cases may be "self-scheduled." Seeking candidates residing in the Albany, NY area.
