Full-time Position


C2 Design Group is currently seeking a Construction Administrator with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our Schenectady office. The qualified candidate will follow direction from a principal or project manager.

Responsibilities

  • Work with projects and clients to deliver exceptional outcomes, on time and within budget
  • Supervise quality assurance of construction documents in and out of the office
  • Review and process RFI’s/Submittals in a timely fashion
  • Able to communicate effectively with GC’s and Owners alike
  • Manage individual projects, as needed
  • Resolve problems which arise on the jobsite, coordinate bulletins to the contract documents, make recommendations, and consult client / owner on all issues related to the project.
  • Monitor, review and process closeout submittals and perform periodic QA/QC construction site visits, including substantial presence at the construction site.
  • Write regular field reports and distribute them to the team.
  • Conduct regular progress meetings
  • Write meeting minutes and track issues
  • Maintain RFI, ASI and submittal logs
  • Review and comment on change orders
  • Review payment applications from GC’s
  • Maintain the quality and design intent of the design architects
  • Willing to travel, as required

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Architecture degree or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in the design and construction industry
  • 3+ years’ experience with commercial, office and mixed-use projects
  • Familiarity with Online Project Management software such as: Procore or Submittal Exchange.
  • Experience and interest in leading and mentoring internal staff
  • Efficiently able to navigate/operate Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
