The Controller works under the direct supervision of the VP/CFO. The Controller manages the accounting operations of the credit union and ensures the complete, accurate, and timely accomplishment of financial and accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. The Controller also develops periodic financial reports that comply with GAAP. Will work collaboratively with Exec VP and VP/CFO to provide strategic financial analysis to support credit union goals, assist to monitor and research new accounting developments, review monthly reports for Asset Liability and Board reporting. Will monitor balance sheet, income and expense accounts, monthly reconciliation process of general ledger accounts, ensure sound fiscal management by monitoring and forecasting operating expenses, and ensure established accounting procedures are being followed. Must possess a BS or BA degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance and at least 7 years of financial institution experience, with a CPA, CMA or MBA desirable. Must have a thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, financial accounting standards and applicable federal, state and securities regulations.
Rate of pay $75,000 - $85,000
