  • Disaster recovery project worksheet support, pre- or post-obligation
  • Regulatory compliance related to federal grants
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Pivot Tables, Basic Formulas, Sum totals, Filters, Color-Coding, IF Functions, Table Formatting, Pane Freeze, Drop-Down, Conditional Formatting, VLOOKUP’s, etc.
  • Exceptional written communication and oral communication/presentation skills
  • Ability to follow directions and complete tasks within stated deadlines

Job Description:

  • Perform testing procedures and analyses in order to validate and reconcile amounts claimed in applicant/sub-recipient Project Worksheets (PWs).
  • Follow KPMG's protocols and processes for validating the accuracy, reasonableness, and allow ability of costs claimed.
  • Ensuring PW compliance with relevant Federal and State regulations and requirements.
  • Clearly documenting observations, tracking progress, and reporting to the Quality Control Leads.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

· Completion of PW reviews and reconciliations within estimated timeframes and budget constraints

·Confirmation that necessary supporting documentation is submitted

· Review of all supporting documentation

· Determining reimbursement eligibility

· Applicant eligibility

· Facility eligibility

· Cost eligibility

· Work category eligibility

· Perform reconciliations of eligible expenses submitted for reimbursement including amounts billed, due, and paid

· Performing testing procedures and analyses on project data in excel

· Confirm project expenses are allowable, allocable, and reasonable

· Verify costs claimed as Direct Administrative Costs (DAC) are accurate and eligible based on FEMA guidance

· Evaluation of Applicant/Sub-recipient performance

· Verification of percentage of project completion

· Identify opportunities for 406 Hazard Mitigation and Alternative Procedures under Section 428 of the Stafford Act

· Verification of compliance with applicable laws and regulations

· Provide detailed notes of the review

· Prepare and upload project documentation

· Attend team meetings and provide updates on PW status and issues identified

· Monitor activities for assigned PWs

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $28.00 to $32.00 /hour
