BBS is currently seeking an Experienced Electrical Engineer for the firm’s Albany office. This 

position is perfect for a self-motivated individual working alongside other engineers and 

architects. The individual will be responsible for the field work, production, and presentation 

aspects for projects of varying types, complexities, scopes and budgets.

We are looking for an ambitious and dedicated self-starter with some experience in the A/E/C 

environment. The selected candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in K- 12/higher 

educational and other type of building projects. The candidate will also have experience in working 

in teams with other professionals including Senior Architects/Project Managers, project-level 

architects and engineers, and technical designers. He or she should also have a dedication to the 

profession with a strong, self-motivated desire to learn and progress.


•     Supports the project team with providing technical expertise and sound solutions

•     Assess, understand and design systems, i.e. building power, lighting, low-voltage 

systems and photovoltaic projects

•     Efficiently and effectively deliver a set of documents for construction

•     Capable of working with other disciplines

•     Meets deadlines as necessary to ensure highest level of client satisfaction

•     Continue to grow our respected, long-term client relationships and BBS team 



•     Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering Technology

•     Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in an office environment.

•     Understands and contributes to the process and workflow of an A/E project design 

team, works within established cost budgets and timelines.

•     Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills. Self-driven desire to 

learn and grow professionally, ability to multi-task and to meet multiple simultaneous deadlines,

and presentations.

•     Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office, or other presentation/editing software
