Are you passionate about supporting families by connecting them to much needed services and resources? Do you have some experience in human services and are looking to grow your skills and knowledge?

 

Join a community-based organization which has been supporting the most vulnerable families in Albany County for over 55 years. The Eligibility Navigator assists with the integration of service components within the Early Childhood Education department. Responsibilities include:

  • Interact with customers through phone, email, or in-person meetings and promote positive exchanges and relationships for people needing services
  • Complete intakes and assessments and gather documentation to help determine customer eligibility for services and facilitate customer enrollment into various ACAP programs and services
  • Facilitate customer enrollment into ACAP program and services as well other community agencies and programs, ensuring a smooth service transition
  • Collect data and maintain accurate case records

Starting at $16.03 per hour; Monday-Friday; 40 hours per week


QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of two (2) years of experience working in Human Services or a Community-based Organization required. Basic PC skills including database entry, word processing, and spreadsheet skills are required. Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer services skills are required. Bi- or Multi-lingual skills are a plus.
