Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Transformation Director

The ERP Director leads the ERP Transformation project, the ERP team and will work with business leaders in Finance, Operations, Human Resources, Customer Service, Supply Chain and Materials Management. This position designs, configures, tests and implements ERP projects that support the business value chain of the organization. The ERP Director applies their technical background to develop solutions that resolve complex issues and make recommendations for strategic changes to Latham’s IT landscape. Using demonstrated organizational and leadership skills, the ERP Director and their team control and maintain various platforms while working with vendor partners, the IT Service Desk and Development teams to troubleshoot production issues and establish time frames for product release.

Responsibilities: 

1. Develop and provide input to influence strategic business roadmaps for ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) /MRP (Material Resource Planning)

2. Actively participate in software architecture and design, process improvement, document and communicate design requirements/specifications and details to other team members

3. Play a direct role in programming, maintenance, technical support, documentation and administration of selected ERP/MRP solution

4. Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges

5. Provide technical and functional expertise to ensure solutions meet business objectives, are reliable and scalable

6. Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal, negotiation and organizational skills

7. Manage project schedules, budget and resources; ensuring to meet business requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner

8. Drive successful implementation of ERP/MRP transformation projects to achieve proposed benefits by utilizing organizational change-management skills

9. Drive innovation and act as a change-agent for ERP Center of Excellence (COE)

10. Lead continuous improvement activities to improve application performance, quality and reliability

11. Ensure production applications meet agreed upon service level expectations

12. Lead and manage multiple project/program streams

13. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

 Education / Certifications: 

· Master’s Degree (Preferred)/ Bachelor’s Degree (Required): Preferred fields include Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related business discipline(s).

· Certified Project Management Professional, ITIL Certification and/or equivalent ERP Certification desired

Work Experience: 

· 10+ years of ERP/MRP implementation experience required: Preferred experience in SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, EPICOR and IFS

· Manufacturing ERP implementation experience preferred

· 10+ years of extensive technical and functional experience with MM (Material Master), MRP (Material Resource Planning), PP (Production Planning), FI/CO (Finance and Costing), CRM (Customer Relationship Management), Human Resources/Payroll (HR) modules of ERP the system.

· 5+years of Managerial experience required.

· Detailed Knowledge of PPDS (Production Planning/Detailed Scheduling, Demand planning, Inventory and replenishment strategies)

· Experience with industry standards for ERP system implementations (waterfall and agile methodologies)

· Strong leadership and management skills and proven experience developing employees throughout all aspects of the employment cycle

· Experience with cloud services and Deployment is a plus

Travel: Approximately 20% of the time with overnights
