Executive Director

The Animal Protective Foundation in Schenectady, New York, is seeking candidates for the position of Executive Director. The Executive Director is responsible for the overall management and leadership of the Animal Protective Foundation (APF). They serve as the key spokesperson and a visible leader who demonstrates a passion for the mission of the APF. The candidate should be a strategic, knowledgeable and innovative leader, who can connect the goals of the Board of Directors with the day to day needs of the employees/volunteers, animals, and the communities the APF serves. More specifically, the Executive Director is responsible for ensuring performance and compliance in the following key areas:

Financial Management
Human Resources
Risk Management
Strategic Planning
Fund Development
Board Administration
Facilities Management
Operations & Administration
Public Relations
Regulatory Compliance
