IT Business Analyst

Primary Role: The Business Analyst’s primary purpose is to analyze, evaluate and refine business processes. The BA develops technical solutions to business problems and is responsible for maintenance on multiple systems (ERP, QM, Production, etc). In addition, the BA engages in projects across the organization and leads requirements management, implementation and delivery of new systems and /or software solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Design and architecture of ERP, Oracle Cloud and eCommerce system solutions

2. Manage the project implementation cycle as it relates to system solutions, including analysis, design, and implementation

3. Interact with key business members, leading complex business requirement discussions to gather, evaluate, and document business needs and translate these into functional specifications and user stories

4. Work directly with technical resources to clearly communicate business requirements, acting as a liaison between business members and developers

5. Coordinate testing efforts with all stakeholders of a solution, including detailing test scenarios or scripts

6. Capture, record and maintain systems process and functional documentation

7. Lead or assist with business process redesign as it relates to long-term roadmap planning and short-term goals of the organization

8. Monitor project scope, schedule and resources to ensure successful and on-time releases

9. Support systems already deployed by assisting in reproduction and rework of issues as reported by the user community

10. Ensure customer (internal and external) needs are defined properly and the product is delivered within specification, on time, and within budget

11. Ensure responses to customer complaints and concerns are timely and adequate

12. Other duties as assigned.


• Associate’s degree in business administration, IT, project management or similar field; Bachelor’s degree preferred

• 3+ years’ experience in business analysis, gathering requirements, and configuring/customizing systems

• Preferred project management certification

• Experience successfully leading the design and implementation of at least one full project cycle

• Manufacturing ERP experience preferred

• Highly developed skills: problem-solving, tenacity, drive, creativity, planning and organization

• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with a variety of systems

• Excellent presentation, written, verbal and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence employees and leaders at all levels of the organization

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Management experience in traditional hierarchical and matrixed managed team environment

Preferred experience with SQL, Application Quality Management, Project Place and PMO practices

• Travel: approximately 10% with overnights
