Marketing and Engagement Specialist (Hybrid)

Albany Law School seeks qualified candidates for the position of Marketing and Engagement Specialist for its Online Graduate Programs.  In this role, you will serve as brand ambassador, supporting the growth of our Online Graduate Programs by creatively articulating their value using effective marketing strategies, identifying new marketing and enrollment pipelines and supporting other enrollment growth initiatives.  You will perform a variety of tasks, including:
  • Creating compelling written and visual content that engages and informs a wide variety of internal and external constituencies using multi-channel marketing techniques. This includes identifying student, alumni, faculty, and business partner success stories for use across social media, web, email campaigns, newsletters, and other audience engagement channels.
  • Serving as liaison with various internal offices and groups to proactively identify existing Albany Law School contacts, affiliated groups, and prospective academic/community/employer partners, and cultivate relationships.
  • Identifying and nurturing new corporate/industry and government partners by learning the partner’s goals and talent needs, and articulating the value of our academic offerings for their employees.
  • Collaboratively managing social media accounts, content, contacts, and engagement strategies.
  • Supporting the planning, scheduling, and execution of events and programs, including virtual admissions events, webinars, conferences, and other initiatives. This includes communication with speakers and other constituencies, coordinating internal and external promotion, post-event engagement, and delivery of new leads to database.
  • Supporting staff in identifying and engaging with prospective students and organizations and representing Online Graduate Programs regionally/nationally, virtually and on-ground. This involves travel and occasional evening and weekend hours to accommodate target markets.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records of all engagement activities and providing regular reporting on their effectiveness.
  • Maintaining a detailed understanding and awareness of program offerings, options, and associated career outcomes, while assisting in the ongoing evolution of the programs’ value proposition, market position, and brand recognition.

  • Proficiency with social media marketing and targeted audience engagement.
  • Resourcefulness and the motivation to set and achieve performance goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage a wide variety of constituencies, including culturally diverse individuals.
  • Analytic ability to effectively communicate new concepts into clear, articulate, persuasive and compelling marketing content.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum two years of related work experience in higher education, enrollment, marketing, business-to-business relationship development or community engagement.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

The estimated salary range for this position is $55,500-$65,000 per year, plus comprehensive benefits package.  Salary offered will be based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, and in consideration of internal equity.
