Network Engineer/Analyst

Responsibilities include: Network Operations, PC Operations and other Technical Activities. Participates in support, maintenance, and administration of computing infrastructure and telecommunications. Evaluates, recommends, and participates on concurrent or infrastructure implementation projects. Provides analysis and recommendation of products and services. Provides maintenance, support, and administration of networks, network attached peripherals, personal computing devices, electronic communications equipment. Provides support and training for junior Operations staff. 

Requirements:
•Associate or Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to satisfactorily perform the duties of the job may be substituted.
•Minimum of 5 years information technology background with 3 years’ experience as a Network Analyst.
•Two years’ experience in a Microsoft network server environment - Windows 2016 and Exchange 2013 preferred. Current Certified Network Administrator (CNA) or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)) certificate preferred. •Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred.
•VMware NSX Certified preferred.
•Proven proficiency in the following technologies required: oBlade server technologies using VMware for virtualization
Storage Area Network (SAN) systems oAdvanced network operations and troubleshooting
Data backup systems for Disaster Recovery and Replication oData Center Operations
Email systems (Microsoft Exchange 2013 preferred) to include secure email transfer
Demonstrated ability to monitor and troubleshoot Wide Area Networks (WAN) and Local Area Networks (LAN) Demonstrated ability to monitor and troubleshoot wireless networks
•Proven competency in configuring, implementing, and maintaining a high availability network environment.
•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
•Able to work weekends and outside of normal business hours when necessary. •Able to travel domestically, primarily within New York State, to support regional offices and affiliates.
