Production Supervisor - Second Shift

Primary Role: Ensure the successful production actives of a single shift. Manage the daily production related to KPI’s for singular shift. Support a strong employee culture through the reinforcement of Latham’s Core Values.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise operations to ensure positive labor efficiency and variance through proper headcount
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules;
  • Resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Follow company safety policies and programs to promote a safety-first culture throughout the facility
  • Maintain high level of quality throughout the manufacturing process by enforcing organizational standards
  • Maintains staff by interviewing and selecting staff, orienting and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Responsible for production meeting daily schedule to insure on time delivery with the least amount of overtime required
  • Oversee and verify each stage of the process is properly using the correct amount and type of material
  • Check production output and identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements to address the issues with employees
  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests. Submits reports on performance and progress to direct manager
  • Communicate job expectations, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees
  • Facilitate daily shift meetings
  • Other duties as assigned


  1. Minimum of High School Diploma or GED with 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing or Production Operations
  2. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in related fields preferred.
  3. Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting
  4. Experience in maintaining and driving workplace Safety
  5. Computer and keyboarding skills -Spreadsheets, Database and Word Processing
  6. Experience with payroll and time keeping
  7. Ability to read blueprints
  8. Must be able to work scheduled as assigned
  9. Excellent coaching and communication skills
  10. Good understanding of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, employee relations
  11. Strategic planning and problem-solving skill
  12. Broad knowledge of production planning processes
  13. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with understanding of machine controls and instrumentation
