MVP Information Services business unit is seeking a highly motivated – detail-oriented candidate for the position of Cloud Services and Microsoft Technologies. This position will be on a team member of engineers and will have responsibility for the research, design, implementation, and day-to-day operations of the physical and virtual computing infrastructure, predominately in Azure. The successful candidate will participate in a variety of activities, including researching emerging technologies, defining requirements; assessing server, storage, workstation, and infrastructure sizing; analyzing hardware and virtual configurations to meet application requirements; and designing load balancing and clustering solutions. They are required to prepare architectural design documentation, including diagrams and inventories.

The successful candidate will be a part of developing and reviewing business plans, strategic direction, and standards for procedures and policies as they relate to systems architecture. They work with IT & TS teams to ensure application requirements are understood and translated to technical solutions.

They will be responsible for the build activities, participating in the maintenance and administration of Microsoft desktop computing environment as well as the Microsoft System motioning solution and the design and implementation of the Microsoft Azure cloud environment. Provide support of troubleshoot problems in the environment. They will assist in the assessment of new technologies. Participate in the planning, testing, and plans for hardware/software changes to the environment.

The role includes but is not limited to the following:


•Participate in the overall design of MVP’s Azure cloud environment, desktop environment and monitoring tools enforced by Microsoft.

•Work closely with MVP staff understanding requirements to aid in developing infrastructure designs and infrastructure.

•Collaborate with staff, users, and senior management on establishing business goals.

•Review new and existing IT projects, systems design, and plans.

•Conducting research on emerging technologies to support changes in the infrastructure.

•Study and understanding cloud architecture, design, and management strategies.

•Participate in defining cloud requirements; assessing server, storage, workstation, network, and infrastructure sizing; analyzing hardware and virtual configurations.

•Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations; and obtaining industry certifications.

•Be responsible for system maintenance of desktop images and patching processes. Be proactive


Position Qualifications


Minimum Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent business experience


Minimum Experience

5+ years’ work experience in related health care business or IT position. 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft technologies. Demonstrate strong Microsoft Computing infrastructure knowledge with technologies like but not limited to; Windows Server, Office 365, Azure, System Center Operations and Configuration Manager, Active Directory, and DHCP. Experience with Server and End Use Device Security Technologies. Ability to perform technical analysis of hardware and software in support of the enterprise.

•Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, healthcare, or financial and billing processes is a plus.
