Applied Robotics has an immediate need for an experienced Regional Sales Manager. This person will have the primary responsibility for managing product and services sales within a defined geographical area, effectively executing revenue plans and managing sales distributors and representatives, as well as actively developing plans for consistent growth in sales revenues. Additional responsibilities include identifying new short-term and long-term sales opportunities, forecasting annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams, and collaborating with other staff to support the Company’s vision and values.

Education/Experience:

  • B.S. in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering and 3 to 5 years of related sales experience preferred.
  • Or B.S in Business with a minimum of 3 years of related industrial equipment sales experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Company’s Vision, Values, and Mission.
  • Collaborates with Management in establishing and recommending the most realistic sales goals for the company.
  • Manages an assigned geographic sales area or product line to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.
  • Establishes and manages effective programs to compensate, coach, appraise and train integrator/distributor sales personnel.
  • Performs sales activities on major accounts and negotiates sales prices and discounts in consultation with Management.
  • Manages integrators/distributors to develop sales.
  • Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams.
  • Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company products.
  • Provides quarterly results assessments of sales productivity.
  • Coordinates proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results.
  • Collaborates with Management to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines.
  • Interprets short and long-term effects on sales strategies in operating profit.
  • Educates integrator/distributor sales teams by establishing programs/seminars in the areas of new account sales and growth, sales of emerging products and multi-product sales, profitability, improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support, management of expenses and business/financial issues on contracts.
  • Collaborated with Management to establish and control budgets for sales promotion and trade show expenses within region of responsibility.
  • Reviews expenses and recommends economies.
  • Coordinates customer training.
  • Developed and maintains relationships with purchasing, engineering, and key industry contacts.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
  • Create reports, business correspondence, and support development of user manuals and technical documentation (training, datasheets, technical bulletins, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of basic algebra and geometry, ability to calculate figures and amounts for discounts, interests, commissions, etc.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Familiar with Computer Programs such as Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Lotus “Notes” and Made2Manage.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport or the ability to obtain a valid passport required.
  • Travel domestically (up to 50% of time).
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
