Wednesday, February 12, 2025 (8:30 AM - 10:00 AM) (EST)
Description
Most feel socially awkward at times and this feeling can limit the ability to connect with others, reduce the perception of confidence and competence, as well as hinder one’s career progression. This feeling is not unique and there are easy tools and techniques that, with practice, can significantly lessen the feeling of social awkwardness. Mastering these skills will build confidence and increase the ability to network effectively.
In this training, participants will learn:
- The science behind why we can be socially awkward
- How and why these feelings cause a physical reaction in the body
- How to calm the mind (where the mind goes, the body follows)
- The science behind why a proper handshake is vital to success
- The art of a memorable physical and verbal introduction
- How to have great conversations (and not interrogations)
- How to be better at remembering names
- The art of which groups to join, which to avoid and why
This interactive training is done in a friendly and low-stress learning environment where you will be able to use the skills that you learn and apply them immediately.
