Volunteer YPN - Sunhee's Community Place + RISSE; Resume Building and Mock Interviews
Wednesday, October 9, 2024 (5:30 PM - 7:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
This event is intended to support adult learners from Sunhee’s Community Place and RISSE to improve their resumes, network with other professionals in the community, and practice professional conversational English skills. Additionally, this event strengthens partnerships between local businesses, non-profit organizations, and community members identifying as immigrants and refugees. Volunteers will be assigned to either the resume building station or the mock interview station. At the resume building station, volunteers will focus on providing tips on the structure and content of an effective resume. At the mock interview station, volunteers will help participants prepare for a job interview, including how to answer common interview questions, body language, and other preparation tips. Volunteers will have 5 foundational interview questions but can add industry-specific questions.
