Join the Young Professionals Network (YPN) in serving a warm, welcoming meal to men, women, and children in our community. Responsibilities may include serving food, clearing plates, or even sharing a meal and conversation with guests.

Organization Overview
City Mission of Schenectady, founded in 1906, seeks to comprehensively meet the needs of the poor in a manner that dignifies and strengthens the individual, the family, and the community. Our goal is to provide not only HELP for today, but HOPE for tomorrow—meeting basic needs like food, shelter, and clothing while also offering spiritual guidance, counseling, training, and life/job skills programs to help transform lives.
Participation Limit: 10 volunteers
Important Reminders
- Do not attend if you are feeling unwell
- Arrive 15 minutes early and sign in at the volunteer kiosk
- Closed-toe shoes required (no sandals or flip-flops)
- Dress modestly (no low-cut shirts, tank tops, or short shorts)
- Hairnets provided unless wearing a hat with hair pulled back
- Cancel registration promptly if unable to attend
