YPN Fall Indoor Clean-Up at Joseph's House & Shelter

Description

Join the Young Professionals Network (YPN) for a fall volunteer event at Joseph's House & Shelter in Troy. Volunteers will help clean walls, baseboards, windowsills, doors, door frames, and other surfaces throughout the program's main community spaces.

Joseph's House will provide basic cleaning supplies, and volunteers are encouraged to donate additional supplies to support the organization.

• Indoor cleaning throughout the program's main community spaces.
• Connect with fellow YPN members while supporting an important community organization.

Organization Overview

Joseph's House & Shelter provides emergency shelter and support services to an average of 2,000 men, women, and children each year. Its mission is to provide non-judgmental services to end homelessness while building relationships based on each individual's strengths and capacities. Through dignity, respect, and self-determination, Joseph's House empowers guests and tenants to make healthier choices.

Participation Limit: 20 volunteers

Important Reminders

• Volunteers are encouraged to donate cleaning supplies. Dawn dish soap, Lysol or Clorox cleaners, gentle non-abrasive sponges, cleaning cloths, buckets, and pails are especially appreciated.
• Basic gloves, buckets, sponges, and gentle cleaning products will be provided.
• Registered volunteers will be asked to complete a Confidentiality Agreement and Photo Release Waiver prior to the event.
• Please cancel your registration promptly if you are unable to attend.

Parking and Entering Instructions: On-street parking spaces are available directly on Ferry Street, 4th Street, and 5th Avenue. It is a large, red brick building.Look for the Joseph's House & Shelter signage near the entrance. Please enter through the main front doors on Ferry Street.
