YPN Summer Kickoff with Walrath Recruiting and The Vandy!

It’s almost (officially) summertime: Join YPN for our Kick-Off to Summer in partnership with the Walrath Recruiting and The Vandy!

This event will include interview tips and best practices, as well as how to ask the right questions, presented by Walrath Recruiting, Inc.!  This will also include an opportunity to put these skills into practice.

The Vandy Thrift Shoppe will also be presenting on fashion in the workplace, how to dress for the job, and the Vandy’s options for professional clothing at an affordable cost! 

We are teaming up with The Vandy for a clothing drive. Please feel free to bag up and donate your unwanted clothing items and bring them to this event. The Vandy Thrift Shoppe is a training location for future retail positions for those we serve.  Vanderheyden students, team members, clients, and other agency members will work collaboratively to operate and manage the shoppe.  This project-based approach focuses on the operation of the storefront to teach valuable transferable and work-specific skills that can be applied to a variety of industries later in personal working experiences. Proceeds directly support Vanderheyden's mission to empower youth, adults and families to build brighter futures.

This amazing event will be held at Oh Corn! Arepas in Troy right on the Hudson River!  We will be using both indoor and outdoor space for this event (weather-permitting).  Come network with great food, great friends, and beautiful views!
