Summary

Verrillo Motor Car Company is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician/Restoration Specialist to perform light mechanical repairs and support vehicle preparation for delivery and showroom readiness. This role is hands-on and focused on ensuring vehicles meet high standards of safety, performance, and presentation, without the complexity of full shop operations. 

Core Responsibilities 

Light Mechanical Work:

• Perform basic repairs and maintenance (e.g., brakes, batteries, fluids, belts) 

• Conduct vehicle inspections and identify mechanical issues 

• Support delivery prep with mechanical readiness checks 

Vehicle Prep Support: 

• Collaborate with detailing and prep teams to ensure vehicles are showroom-ready 

• Assist with vehicle movement, staging, and final inspections 

• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used 

Team Collaboration: 

• Communicate with the Vice President of Operations and Sales team regarding vehicle status 

• Coordinate with shop manager for timely procurement of components 

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) 

• Repair Turnaround Time – Avg time to complete assigned mechanical tasks 

• Repair Quality – Measured by comeback rate or internal review 

• Vehicle Readiness – % of vehicles prepped on time for delivery  

• Parts Accuracy – Rate of correct parts ordered and installed 

• Team Collaboration – Feedback from GM and prep/detailing teams 

• 
  

Required Skills and Experience 

• 5+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience 

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for light mechanical issues 

• Familiarity with classic, performance, and luxury vehicles preferred 

• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively 

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record 

Reporting Structure 

This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and works closely with the Sales, Prep, and Detailing teams. 

Salary: $50,000 - $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience
