A DAY IN THE LIFE
As the CRA Mortgage Loan Originator, you will be responsible for the origination of mortgage, home equity, and related loan products, as well as cross-selling other Bank products and services. You will focus on the origination of Community Reinvestment Act qualifying mortgage loans, through establishing and supporting relationships with realtors, housing authorities, and other community based organizations and agencies
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Solicit first mortgages through contact with realtors, housing authorities, and developers, with a focus on homebuyer with low to moderate income. Focus on development of CRA prospects & referrals in BSNB's market.
- Work with customers and prospective customers to assist them in identifying and securing a mortgage loan that is appropriate for their individual financial circumstances and is designed to help them achieve their home ownership goals.
- Work to achieve satisfactory CRA rating in regard to mortgage lending.
- Plan, organize and speak at first time home buyers seminars.
- Attend realtor, builder, and community functions as needed to establish and grow relationships.
- Cross-sell other Bank products and services to customers.
Salary Range $70000-108000 per year Base salary plus commission
QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience in residential housing field, including prior CRA experience and regulatory knowledge required. Knowledge of conventional and FHA loan programs a plus, as well as secondary market guidelines. Prior experience in a customer service setting involving community networking required. Computer literacy and a strong attention to detail required. To be successful in this position, the person must be a self-starter and highly organized. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); A.S. degree in business or related field, Bachelor's degree preferred
