
Director, Grants and Compliance
The Capital Region Chamber/Center for Economic Growth is seeking an experienced Director, Grants and Compliance who will play a key role in the full lifecycle of grant and contract administration. This role ensures that all grant and contract activities align with organizational goals, comply with federal and state regulations, and meet funder requirements. This position also plays a key role in administering and maintaining compliance for loan programs.
JOB DUTIES
Grants and Contracts:
• Lead and manage grants and contract process
• Develop and implement systems for effective grants and contract management
• Review funding opportunities and RFPs to assess alignment with organizational priorities
• Manage all pre-award administration, including preparation and submission of grant proposals, ensuring timely submission of applications
• Manage acceptance of grant and contract awards
• Manage all aspects post-award administration, ensuring compliance as required by funding entities
Revolving Loan Fund:
• Assist with underwriting and pre-closing activities as needed
• Ensure compliance with reporting requirements
• Prepare periodic reporting for stakeholders
• Maintain contact with EDA regarding reporting and compliance
• Coordinate loan servicing activities
• Collaborate with accounting staff on periodic reporting and annual audit
• Maintain RLF Plan
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in grants and contracts administration, including supervisory roles.
• Knowledge of state and federal grant regulations, as well as private foundations.
Skills & Competencies
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and accounting principles.
• Familiarity with grants management systems (e.g., Salesforce or similar platforms).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
