Director of Finance

Hours and Benefits for the Director of Finance:

  • $110,000 - $120,000
  • Hybrid Work Schedule (up to 2 days remote)
  • 4 Weeks Paid Time Off, plus 11 paid Holidays

Responsibilities for the Director of Finance:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and accounting staff, including accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, coordinate with the CFO on cash flow projections, pro-forma statements, and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage investment activities, and ensure compliance with Board directives, policies, and New York State workers’ compensation regulations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors for fiscal year audits and coordinate with actuarial firms for loss reserve estimates and renewal rate requirements.
  • Maintain and update accounting policies, oversee testing and upgrades of accounting software, and analyze financial trends for potential impacts.
  • Deliver financial presentations to the Board of Directors and other stakeholders.

 
Requirements for the Director of Finance:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial operations management or a comparable role
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
    • CPA license is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; with advanced Excel knowledge, and financial management software (Acumatica preferred)
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
