Executive Director

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to lead a nonprofit organization committed to affordable senior housing and holistic, community-based services. As our chief executive, you'll champion a unified strategy between housing and wellness, steer regulatory excellence, and inspire a team devoted to enhancing the dignity and independence of older adults.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Organizational Leadership

  • Develop and execute mission-driven initiatives that promote dignity, inclusion, and wellness for seniors
  • Align organizational goals with evolving community needs and performance metrics

Housing & Property Oversight

  • Supervise daily operations of senior housing facilities with focus on safety, maintenance, and lease compliance
  • Ensure regulatory adherence with HUD and housing standards

Senior Center Programs & Services

  • Oversee inclusive programming including wellness services, recreation, meals, and case management
  • Champion participant-driven feedback to improve service outcomes

Financial & Fundraising Management

  • Develop and manage budgets across housing and senior center services
  • Lead development activities including grants, donor relations, events, and partnerships

Human Resources & Culture

  • Recruit and cultivate a compassionate, high-performing staff and volunteer team
  • Foster a collaborative, respectful workplace culture built on continuous learning

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as chief advocate and spokesperson
  • Build lasting relationships with funders, public agencies, families, and community partners

Governance & Reporting

  • Provide strategic oversight and compliance updates to the Board of Directors
  • Promote transparency and sound nonprofit governance

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 5–7 years senior leadership experience in affordable housing, aging services, or nonprofit management
  • In-depth knowledge of HUD programs, senior services, and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated success in budgeting, fundraising, staff development, and stakeholder engagement

The salary range is $125,000 to $140,000 annually.
