Firmware Engineer

Alaant Workforce Solutions is hiring a Firmware Engineer in Albany NY. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity focused on designing, developing, and maintaining firmware for cutting-edge products. The role includes new product development as well as products for manufacturing.

Hours and Benefits for the Firmware Engineer:

  • Pay: $75,000 - $90,000 / year

Responsibilities for the Firmware Engineer:

  • Write, test, and maintain firmware code for embedded systems.
  • Identify and resolve firmware-related issues by analyzing code and reviewing hardware schematics.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams at all levels.
  • Write clean code and follow documentation best practices.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to new and existing products.

 
Requirements for the Firmware Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Technical Skills:
    • Fundamentals of microcontroller architecture principles
    • Embedded C
    • Python preferred
    • Experience using GitHub for version control
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Cardholder
