Human Resources and Finance Assistant

Accounting Human Resources

Will join the Finance / Human Resources team handling payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and check processing.  This is an entry level position assisting with administrative duties to support the Finance and Human Resources functions.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists with all human resources functions and processes related to all programs.
  • Process payroll, wage and employment data requests, new hire packets and insurance enrollments. Maintain all records of employees.
  • Assist in the recruitment process, maintaining employee records, processing of new benefit enrollments, onboarding and offboarding of staff.
  • Responsible for paperwork submissions/tracking for new day care licensing, mid-point reviews and day care renewals.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as trainings and organization-wide meetings and employee recognition events.
  • Reconciliation of purchase orders with invoices and statements ensuring that the proper approvals, funding source and cost allocations are properly documented.  Verify for accuracy.
  • Receive, process, and verify invoices to ensure they are properly coded to the expense account and program, schedule payments, and maintain accurate records of transactions.
  • Compilation of various vouchers including generating computer reports, assembling and reconciling all supporting documents.

$21.00 per hour

REQUIREMENTS

Associates Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar field.

2 years’ experience with either accounting, bookkeeping, payroll or human resources.

Intermediate level knowledge of all Microsoft Office and Google applications.

  • The ability to work as a member of a team, good interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain professionalism with staff and clientele. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse social and economic backgrounds.
