Immigrant ESOL Education Coordinator – full-time
We are currently seeking a candidate for the role of Immigrant ESOL Education Coordinator (English for Speakers of Other Languages) to be responsible for organizing and overseeing all ESOL activities, including classes and individual tutoring sessions for immigrants in Saratoga County, NY. This role involves creating curriculum and teaching resources, managing student records, developing and maintaining partnerships recruiting and coordinating volunteers.
Job Duties:
- Manage programming for two distinct ESOL classrooms (Saratoga Springs and Saratoga Race Course).
- Supervise two part-time ESOL instructors.
- Recruit, coordinate, and support volunteer instructors.
- Evaluate students' English proficiency and assign them to appropriate instruction groups.
- Maintain communication with volunteers and site coordinators regarding scheduling and space usage.
- Provide resources and guidance to volunteer tutors.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- CELTA/TEFL/TESOL (120-hour) certificate, OR two years of demonstrated ESOL teaching experience. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Bilingual/bicultural proficiency in Spanish and English is required; additional language proficiency is a plus.
- Strong understanding of and ability to connect with new American populations.
- Experience in supervising staff and coordinating volunteers.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and be insurable to operate agency vehicles.
Compensation: 26.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm with flexible scheduling, evenings required, occasional weekends required. Position can be on site and remote.
