Manager, Contracts and Grants
The position primarily supports the Center for Economic Growth’s (CEG) Manufacturing Solutions Team and the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) program. This position plays a critical role in client contract management; state and federal grant submission, management, vouchering, and reporting; quarterly program financial reporting; and project/program support. This position works cross-functionally between the Manufacturing Solutions team and the accounting team to execute on responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Program
• Manage client project timelines to ensure successful completion by vendors and internal staff.
• Generate, review, and submit quarterly reporting for federal and state grants.
• Assist with the creation of client project proposals
• Manage client surveys, survey data, and success stories.
• Coordinate with staff to improve and further develop business processes.
• Occasionally support other staff members with various programs and event efforts.
• Support field staff on location during training sessions.
Administrative
• Manage applications, including submissions and reporting for project grants.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of business process flow into Salesforce CRM.
• Create and run CRM reports as needed
• Support the Director of Workforce Development with grant and contract management, and records and reporting, related to workforce initiatives.
Accounting
• Maintain client, partner, and third-party contract information in Salesforce CRM and federal systems.
• Coordinate invoicing activities with the accounting team to ensure invoicing is accurate and on time.
• Update both state and federal grants and contracting systems as required.
• Generate and review quarterly invoicing voucher for state/federal program funding.
• Generate and review monthly/quarterly invoicing vouchers for other state/federal programs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required
- A degree in Business, Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field can substitute for 2 years of experience
- Experience with state or federal contract or grant management, preferred
- B2B and B2C contract management, preferred
- Must manage priorities, meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgment
- Ability to occasionally attend various events beyond regular office hours
- Computer proficiency (i.e., Microsoft Suite, Eventbrite, GrowthZone, Webex, Zoom, Teams)
- Familiarity with accounting practices and working with budgets
- Proficiency with Customer Management Systems (CRM) is required, Salesforce preferred
- Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and work in a fast-paced team environment.
- The successful candidate must be highly organized.
- The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be an adaptable, quick learner, pay attention to details, and possess a proactive work ethic.
Compensation: Salary ranges from $62,000 to $70,000. Benefits package includes PTO, generous 401(k), and health/life/LTD insurances.
