Manager, Program & Grants


The position primarily supports the Center for Economic Growth’s (CEG) Manufacturing Solutions Team and the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) program and plays a critical role in client contract management; state and federal grant submission, management, vouchering, and reporting; quarterly program financial reporting; and project/program support. This position works cross-functionally between the Manufacturing Solutions team and the accounting team to execute on responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Program & Grant Management

• Manage multiple client projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables and outcomes are met by vendors and internal staff.
• Manage incentive grant funding process on behalf of clients in support of work done by CEG.
• Generate, review, and submit quarterly reporting for federal and state grants.
• Assist with the creation of client project proposals, grant applications, scopes of work, and supporting documentation
• Manage client surveys, including deployment, data collection, analysis and documentation of outcomes and success stories.
• Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate, improve, and document business and program processes.
• Provide programmatic and logistical support to staff across departments as needed.
• Support field staff on location during training sessions, programs, and related events.


Administrative & Systems Oversight

• Manage grant and program applications, including submissions, compliance tracking, reporting schedules, and closeout documentation.
• Support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of business process flow within Salesforce CRM.
• Create, manage, and analyze CRM reports to support program performance, compliance, and leadership decision making.
• Maintain accurate program records and documentation in Salesforce and required state and federal systems.
• Support the Director of Workforce Development with grant and contract management, and records and reporting, and compliance reporting for workforce initiatives.

Financial & Contract Management
• Maintain client, partner, and third-party contract information in Salesforce CRM and applicable state and federal systems.
• Coordinate invoicing activities with the accounting team to ensure invoices are accurate, compliant, and submitted on time.
• Update and reconcile financial and contractual data in state and federal grants and contracting systems.
• Generate and review periodic invoicing vouchers for state and federal program and contract funding.
• Assist with budget monitoring, financial documentation, and audit readiness related to grant-and contract-funded activities.

Qualifications:


Experience & Education

 Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in program management, grants administration, contracts, or operations.
 Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field may substitute for 2 years of experience
 Experience with state and/or federal contract or grant management preferred
 Experience managing B2B and B2C contract preferred

Skills & Competencies
Strong working knowledge of grant compliance, reporting and invoicing requirements.
Proficiency with CRM is required, Salesforce strongly preferred
Familiarity with accounting practices, invoicing processes, and budget tracking.
High level of computer proficiency, including:
• Microsoft Suite
• Eventbrite and GrowthZone
• Webex, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams
 Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.

 Strong interpersonal and communication skills; effective collaborator across teams and with external partners
 Adaptable, proactive, and able to quickly learn new systems, regulations, and funding requirements.

 Willingness to occasionally attend events beyond regular business hours.

Compensation:
Salary ranges from $62,000 to $70,000. Benefits package includes PTO, generous 401(k), and health/life/LTD insurances.
