Qualifications

  • Three+ years news photography/editing experience preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to visually represent news stories.
  • Must be able to edit news stories on a computer based editing system using Adobe Premiere.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be able to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving history as determined by the Company. Driving record will be checked.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. The following physical requirements are typical", but not all inclusive: lifting and carrying of equipment, frequent reaching, stretching," twisting and bending. Long periods of standing. The company will make reasonable physical accommodations to facilitate the ability to perform essential job functions.

 

Job Overview

Shoot video and edit news stories for newscasts on a daily basis.


Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Photography and editing of TV news stories - both linear and non-linear.
  • Operating television-grade camera equipment and computer editing systems, with a focus on Adobe Premiere.
  • Works closely with reporters, reporters, and assignment desk personnel to cover daily stories.
  • Gathers information and conducts interviews in the field.
  • Gather Video and still pictures for digital platforms.


Compensation and Benefits

When extending an offer, the company considers a variety of factors such as (but not limited to) the candidate's work experience, education/training & key skills as well as internal peer equity and other market and business considerations.

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $18 to $22 per hour. This is a full time (40 hour a week position).
